The Electrum Limited Edition 2-Fiche Goldnote is the first-ever Goldnote to feature two different precious metals in one polymer note. This note includes a large 5 Gram silver fiche that includes the Goldnote hallmark, along with markings of 5 Grams, Fine Silver, and 9999. The note also includes the original denomination of Goldnotes with a 1 Gram gold fiche bearing markings of the Goldnote hallmark, 1 Gram, Fine Gold, and 9999. The note design pays tribute to the ancient Lydian stater coin whose image is featured front and center.

In this limited-edition Goldnote, there is a unique design that connects this modern, tangible asset to one of the oldest coins known to humanity. The primary note design includes the image of the Lydian stater. This design showcases a lion’s head in right-profile relief with a stylized rising sun in the background. The Lydian stater was one of the world’s first minted coins, introduced in ancient Lydia (modern-day western Turkey) around the 7th century BCE. It was made from electrum, a naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver. The inclusion of the Lydian stater’s design in this first-ever 2-fiche Goldnote is a fitting connection between two groundbreaking combinations of gold and silver.

These Electrum Limited Edition 2-Fiche Goldnotes come with the individual fiches sealed inside transparent windows within the decorative polymer note. Goldnotes feature a number of security elements that make your tangible precious metal piece a safe asset. These elements include a secure QR code you can scan with your smartphone for authentication, banknote-quality printing and design, guilloche patterns, watermarks, and even micro-print text.
