The US Mint has a long history when it comes to minting gold coins, one that stretches back farther than most other mints from around the world. The $2.5 Liberty Head Quarter Eagle is guaranteed to be in Mint State 63 and ships encased in its slab. The grade of the coin is guaranteed to be authentic by either the PCGS or NGC.
