Morgan Silver Dollarswere introduced by the United States Mint in 1878. The introduction of the Morgan Dollar marked the restart of silver dollar coining in the United States after a five-year hiatus. The coin design replaced the Seated Liberty Dollar that was in production from 1838 until 1873. The Morgan would remain in production annually through 1904 and return in 1921 for 11 months.

On the reverse of 2025 Morgan Silver Dollars, you will find Morgan’s depiction of the heraldic eagle. This design shows a front-facing bald eagle with spread wings. The talons of the eagle clutch the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
