Based on the goddess Victoria, Winged Victory holds a wreath crown in one hand and broken chains in the other. The image featured here is based on the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City that was erected in 1921 to mark 100 years of independence. At the top of the column, Winged Victory stands watch over the nation.
