Minted gold ingots at Argor-Heraeus are produced in much the same way that other forms of gold bullion are made. After the gold is melted down, in this case, it is poured into a prefabricated mold. From there, the raw gold bar is fed into a stamping press that strikes the raw gold bar to create a detailed form.

The minted ingot, after striking, has a defined shape with sharp, rigid edges and flat surfaces. Those surfaces have design elements and markings that are engraved onto the surfaces of the bar in 3D relief. Unlike most cast gold bars, minted gold ingots have designs on both sides of the finished product.

The obverse of the 10 Gram Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bars features a number of identifying inscriptions. The Argor-Heraeus logo is the most prominent of these and is situated at the top of the gold bar. Below it, you will find markings of the nation of origin, weight, metal content, purity, and the assayer’s mark. There is also an individual serial number assigned to the bar that is inscribed at the base of the obverse field using a six-number coding system.

On the reverse side of 10 Gram Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bars are two design elements. The Argor-Heraeus logo is again engraved on this face, but is found in a larger relief at the center of the bar. The other element is embossed onto the substrate of the reverse field. The kinegram is a holographic element that changes visual colors and shapes as you view the bar from different angles.
