In the design of 10 Arizona Goldback Gold Notes, you’ll find the female allegory known as Virtus riding with the members of the US Army’s 10th Cavalry, known as the Buffalo Soldiers. The 10th Cavalry Regiment, one of the original Buffalo Soldier units composed of African American enlisted men and white officers, served with distinction at Fort Huachuca from the 1910s through 1933, patrolling the Mexican border during the turbulent revolutionary period and participating in the pursuit of Pancho Villa. Despite facing harsh discrimination both on and off post—including segregated facilities and racist treatment in nearby communities—these troopers maintained exceptional service records, earning numerous commendations for their professionalism, horsemanship, and courage under fire.

These 10 Arizona Goldback Gold Notes are available in individual currency sleeves. Like a handful of other denominations of Goldbacks, the 10 Goldback is one of the original denominations that has been offered across all state-focused Goldback collections.
