In the obverse design of 1 oz MLB Baltimore Orioles Silver Rounds, you’ll find the team’s main logo. The Orioles’ iconic primary logo depicts a cheerful cartoon oriole bird wearing a baseball cap with the letter “O.” The smiling bird, known as the “Cartoon Bird,” has become one of baseball’s most beloved mascot logos.

For the reverse of MLB Baltimore Orioles Silver Rounds, you will notice the Major League Baseball logo. The MLB logo is a wide horizontal rectangle that’s split into two sections by the silhouette of a hitter in the middle, with a small baseball positioned close to the bat. Designed in 1968 by graphic artist Jerry Dior, it debuted on uniforms in 1969.

The current Orioles franchise began in 1954 when the St. Louis Browns relocated to Baltimore, though Baltimore had earlier baseball teams dating back to the 1890s. The team’s golden era came in the 1960s and 1970s when they became one of baseball’s powerhouse organizations. Led by legendary manager Earl Weaver, the O’s developed a winning culture known as “The Oriole Way.”

These 1 oz MLB Baltimore Orioles Silver Rounds are available in protective flips and are part of the MLB Silver Round series. The rounds in this collection come in BU and colorized versions, with designs representing each of the 30 franchises.
