On the obverse of Colorized Gulf of America Commemorative Silver Rounds, the American flag fills the waters of the Gulf of America. The American coastline from Texas to the Florida Keys is featured within the design element. The Gulf’s dynamic weather patterns—sometimes gentle and serene, other times powerful and tempestuous during hurricane season—have shaped both its ecological character and the cultural identity of the coastal communities that have thrived along its shores for centuries.

The reverse side of 1 oz Colorized Gulf of America Commemorative Rounds comes with a depiction of the American bald eagle. In this design, the bald eagle is captured midflight with its wings spread wide and its talons extended. The American flag is depicted waving in the background field.
